Shabbat - שַׁבָּת

Every friday evening, we celebrate Shabbat Eve. We pray in hebrew, light the shabbat candles, pray for each other, bless the wine (grape juice), give thanks for bread, and share home made challa (sanctified bread) sing and create a sacred space for deeper conversations, sharing our reflections about the past week.
Inspired by a jewish women who stayed with us for many months, we learned the rituals and adpted the practice and made it part of our weekly schedule. This is the moment of the week where the whole community will sit together for an evening meal that echos with a festive family meal.
