À propos de l'événement
We are excited to welcome you to Siva Ashram for a very special Ganesha Chaturthi celebration, which also marks the opening ceremony of our public activities. Since the establishment of the ashram, we’ve been operating quietly, focusing on deepening our practices and sharing with resident small groups of volunteers/karma yogis. Now, we are entering a new phase of sharing our spiritual journey with the wider community, including the introduction of individual and small group retreats.
This intimate event is designed for no more than 12 participants, allowing for personal connections and meaningful interactions. It is especially suited for yogis and those who already feel a connection to Indian culture, Hinduism, and the beloved deity Ganesha. This day is about deepening your connection, removing obstacles, and welcoming new beginnings with the blessings of Ganesha.
Proposed Schedule:
- Intention Setting Circle Begin the day with a guided intention-setting circle in the Yoga Hall. Learn about Ganesha, the remover of obstacles, and reflect on the challenges in your life that you wish to surrender. Set intentions aligned with new beginnings and spiritual growth.
- Havan (Sacred Fire Ceremony). We will move outside to the Havan Kunda in front of the main building. During this 45-minute ritual, you will be guided through the significance of Havan, and everyone will be invited to make offerings to the fire and chant together. Experience the power of collective prayer and the blessings of Ganesha.
- Meditation, contemplation and Singing Around the Fire After the Havan. Towards the end of the completion of our ritual, we will gather around the fire for a peaceful meditation session, followed by joyful singing. This time of reflection and expression will help deepen your connection with the day’s spiritual practices.
- Community Meal Following the meditation and singing : After the ritual is complete, we will share a nourishing meal in the main building. This is a time to connect, reflect, and celebrate the blessings of the day with fellow participants.
