About the event
Join us this fall for a deeply transformative experience through music, intention, and nature. Our singing circle will guide you on a journey of release, balance, and connection as we align with the seasonal transition and prepare for inner harmony. Whether you are new to chanting or a seasoned practitioner, this event will help you step forward with your voice, with or without an instrument, and create a space of empowerment and expression within a supportive community.
What to Expect:
- Opening Circle & Intention Setting:We will begin with a sacred opening circle where each participant will have the opportunity to share a personal intention. Together, we will hold space for these intentions with silence and visualization, inspired by the teachings of Lynn McTaggart. The focus will be on what we’re ready to release as we transition into autumn and how we can bring more balance into our lives.
- Singing Workshop & Voice Practice:During this interactive workshop, we will explore the power of our voices through breathwork, harmonium practice, and chakra chanting. Participants will be encouraged to step forward with their voices, whether they are using an instrument or simply singing from the heart. You’ll learn how to open your voice with intention and prayer, creating a powerful impact through your chant. We will introduce a Sanskrit mantra for the divine feminine, in preparation for Navaratri (such as the Mahalakshmi Ashtakam), while embracing the theme of balance and spiritual release.
- Nature Walk & Reflection:After the workshop, we will step into the beautiful Quebec forest surrounding the ashram for a reflective walk. As the seasons change, we’ll observe nature preparing for winter, mirroring our own process of letting go. You will have time to connect with the environment and reflect on the themes of balance and transition. The walk will be silent and intentional, allowing participants to feel the deep connection between their inner and outer world.
- Bonfire & Singing Circle:As the day progresses, we will gather around a bonfire (weather permitting) and continue the singing circle. Each participant will have the chance to share a mantra or song, offering it with the intention they set earlier in the day. Whether you sing with an instrument or simply use your voice, this is an opportunity to step forward and express yourself through music in a safe, supportive environment. The bonfire will represent a space of transformation, where we can release what no longer serves us and embrace the warmth of community through music.
- Closing Circle & Vegetarian Meal:We will conclude the event with a delicious vegetarian Indian meal, allowing time for reflection, grounding, and informal conversation. The closing circle will give everyone the opportunity to share final thoughts and experiences from the day, bringing the event to a peaceful and nourishing close.
